Laughter Over Beauty

Saw a lot of beauty today, especially along the canal - long lines of ducks plopping into the water as we approached; golden willow tree rain; rusty barges; grass heads against the sky; multi-coloured ripples.

There was a dark narrow boat with solar panels - the Brenda May. The ensign was all tangled around the pole, and as we unfurled it, the message made us laugh - so this is today's Blip.

Eating lunch in the conservatory, experienced the scariest storm since we came back to the UK - darkening skies, then lightning with thunder only 4 seconds behind at one point, and a fierce battering of hailstones - which melted almost immediately followed by gentle sunshine before the afternoon was over.
