Puck's Glen

Eco daughter's birthday, so she picked the agenda for the day. She wanted to go up Puck's glen as she thought it was great when she did it with the school.

So with expected downpours we set off in the dry. What a wonderful glen, really dark and tight with lots of huge trees shadowing over you. The kids took to gorge walking and Juno tried to follow, on one occasions the dog jumped on a huge boulder and slid into the water as the thick moss peeled off. She looked frightened at the time but soon got over it.

We took the Glen path all the way to the top, a great wee walk. On the way back the clouds wept on us in floods, the Eco family headed to the local cafe as I walked back to the car with the dog.

Met the family at the cafe, thank goodness they went ahead as it was filling up. Some piping hot macoroni and cheese and we were all back on form.

Back to the cottage to change out of our wet clothes and then I took the Eco kids shopping for birthday tea.

Another great day.
