Our old shop

This picture hangs in our kitchen. It reminds me of the grocer's shop that I grew up in. Health and safety would have a field day now with hams hanging (although even our shop had them in a chiller counter).

In a very unusual event this week, I had to visit a poorly chap who's flat is like an Aladin's cave, but he had to same Avery Scales that we had in the shop, similar to ones in this picture. Memories....
