Balnain Burns Night, ceilidh and dance

I was a guest at the Balnain Burns night in Glenurquhart on Friday 24th. I was giving the Immortal Memory, which seemed to go down well. After the speeches, a ceilidh ensued followed by a dance.

This is a photo of a "Strip the Willow" being enjoyed by people of all ages. The evening was run entirely the community hall committee and they did a fantastic job. They cooked, they served with tremendous efficiency, they manned and womanned the bar, introduced everything, re-arranged tables for each part of the evening, did the dishes and smiled throughout. Such community events are always very special, and I was honoured to be their guest.
