Architectural Jewels
I've babbled on and on about how beautiful Wiesbaden is as a city. Sometimes (and by sometimes I mean through the 60s and 70s and 80s) they got it spectacularly wrong.
This honk of a building is in one of the seriously Des Res areas of the city. Flats go easily over a million Euro. On the opposite side of the park from here are some fantastic examples of the Art Nouveau houses that Wiesbaden is famous for. How on earth did the council decide that this was a fitting addition and how furious would you be to have that plonked in your view?
I suppose the view from the flats in there would be super (an accordingly they cost several arms and legs) but I just couldn't live in something like that. I would overuse the word "Honk" a lot.
Other than that not much to tell. We had a our first snow last night but it was gone by the morning. Well, late morning. Don't know why but I'm sleeping really deeply and long at the minute.
