CAnterbury Tales characters no 8 - The Pardoner

There he is, skulking at the back of the line of pilgrims, waiting for his chance to flog a pardon out of his bulging sack. The cross is of brass, but according to Chaucer, weighted with stones to make it seem like gold - so I like to think the wonky angle isn't that my aunt sewed it on at an angle, but is deliberate to show that the weight of the stones is bending the base metal. Well done Aunty Phil.
