Lovely Lottie at her party with a cake that only just about made it due to a mishap with a neighbouring bottle of balsamic, luckily it was the top end and luckily it didn't collapse too much when I tried to wash it

She had a lovely day although the sleepover was inevitably a night of no sleep and apparently ten year olds think 5am is a reasonable start time to the day. I'll remind her of that on a school day I think.

In other news MrJohn came round with Mr M for some pizza and cake ( had to twist John's arm obviously) and we discussed some future blip projects - all of which seem wholly unsensible which means we will embrace the ethos wholeheartedly. John also dropped off a copy of the Ilkley Gazette with our plunge pool photos in, must remember not to use it for lighting the fire with
