Happy Australia Day

Well, since it was Australia Day today, I thought I would blip the Australian Consulate in Mitchell Street in Leith.

Australia Day is the official national day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Sydney Cove, New South Wales, and raising of the Flag of Great Britain at that site by Governor Arthur Phillip.

Happy Australia Day to our colonial cousins.

This afternoon, went to see the new 'Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit', starring (and directed by) the ever wonderful Kenneth Branagh, Chris Pine and Keira a Knightly, which was thoroughly entertaining. Well worth seeing.

Have a good evening all.
