A Close Encounter...

... following recent reports of strange unidentified flying objects in the skies it puts me in mind of a incident from my childhood.

As a nipper my parents decided to move out of the big city. The first night in our new home was a scary experience. I awoke in the middle of the night to find a pulsating light hovering high in the sky above the house.

Amid much confusion and commotion a call was made to the local constabulary and the neighbourhood bobby was duly dispatched.

It was not until the local copper arrived and pointed out to my parents that we were living in a lighthouse was the mystery solved!
