Seagull encounter. It came surprisingly close, did some grooming and watched me. Was probably disappointed that I had nothing for it to eat. Then I saw that it had only one leg, which was probably the reason why it had chosen the little lamp pole as a support while grooming.
Then it pulled the little stump up and - as I still hadn't forked over anything edible - gave a shit....

How do these excellent flyers loose a leg? I heard that some fish bite them off when they are floating on the waves, but don't know whether that is true.
