Shedding some light

We have been looking for some sort of pendant light for the living room , without success. There is a bare bulb with a very plain shade hanging non-commitally around it and it needs to be upgraded!

The Ards Man won't let me buy a chandelier, which is very unreasonable of him, I think. So far we have trekked through the lighting depts of IKEA , BHS and Next, but cannot agree on our style. The AM likes some stuff and I like some stuff, but unfortunately not the same! We are like a little Venn diagram with no crossing over bit in the middle.

So I have blipped a little bit of crystal chandelier. Sounds like a cue for a song, for those of us of a certain vintage.
