A Year Captured

Within spitting distance of home

Flying down from Auckland today we flew over Farewell Spit, a natural sand spit that arches over Golden Bay at the northern tip of the South Island.

Reaching the South Island made me feel I was very nearly home and 45 minutes later we were in Queenstown.

We were met by friends who had picked up my wheelchair, delivered us over the hill to Wanaka, stocked our fridge and then took our kids boating in the evening. It allowed Jenny and I to have a relaxing dinner made by yet more generous mates.

Times like this you certainly value your friendships. We have some goodies.
