Bowcombe Down

Before the usual heavy rain showers moved in there were some glimpses of sunshine breaking through the black clouds to produce some nice shadows across Bowcombe Down in the centre of the Island.

Popular amongst walkers the long distance Tennyson Trail runs along the skyline from where there are wonderful views across the Island.

Part of the ramparts of Carisbrooke Castle can be seen above the trees to the right of the picture.
