Teach in ... or out?

The HE pay dispute rumbles on. Today the union called a two-hour strike from 2-4pm. Our branch staged a teach in outside the main entrance to the college. It was interesting but cold!
I am increasingly disillusioned with HE. It doesn't seem to be about education any more but rather focused on income generation. I should retire but I can't seem to find the time to work out whether I can afford to.

But yay, the crack is repaired, the plaster is drying out, the builders cleaned up well, Chompuss has not been too traumatised. A new landing for a new year!
