To crop out the mess. It looked better in black and white too, seemed to minimise the mess, but the picture ended up with too few pixels. So it's my pestle and mortar, plus mess.

As a string of expletives came out of my mouth as I realised that the cupboard was bare, or at least lacking ground coriander I spotted the coriander seeds and more importantly remembered one of my fab Christmas presents. Bonus. And a good curry we had to too. Despite the mess.
