In The Occupied Territory

Nothing compares to you

You maybe wet, you maybe cold,
but the North East Of England is fine to behold.
Went out today to Knitsley Farm shop and cafe. June had brawn, whilst I had a fresh ham and pease pudding sandwich.
We have never eaten any of these things before, and they were delicious.
We then drove into Chester le Street where we perused some fine butchers' shops, purchasing some minted lamb chops and handmade burgers for dinner.
We then went to this greengrocers and bought some massive baking potatoes and clementines the size of large oranges. These were not for dinner, but to take home with us, as we get nothing compared to shops like this up in our part of Scotland. No shops with fruit and veg on display outside like this. in fact, sadly, no independent greengrocers at all. How sad is that?
We then went to another one to get fresh broccoli, as we forgot to get from the first one.
After picking up Euan and Annabel from school, we headed home to their house to get tea ready early, as June and Annabel are going into Newcastle tonight to see James Arthur; and afterwards, we, minus Annabel, are driving back home to Ellon.
Overnight, as I have to go back to work tomorrow.
