Wind and Waves

Five of us have spent each morning this week giving the craft shop a good and thorough cleaning and re-painting in readiness for the re-opening next week. It's been a lot of work, but we are nearly done and it's looking great.

This afternoon J and I went into the town to look at replacement cash registers. Up until now we have managed with what is basically a cash box and a sales book but now we're having buttons to press and a till roll to cope with! The average age of the shop workers is 66 and we do have one or two who are a tad wary of the credit card machine, never mind an all singing and dancing till. There are going to be some pretty steep learning curves ahead! Luckily it will be a month of so before we start getting many folk in!

On the way to the town J & I took Ollie and Scratch on the beach for a bit of fresh air! Lovely to see the sun, even though it didn't raise the temperature above 4 deg C!
