Egilsay pier

I went over to the island of Egilsay with an RSPB staffer to help survey fences around the bird reserve. This is the worst photo I took, but rather sums up the day because the morning was constant strong wind and the afternoon added fierce, wintry showers to the mix. Some nice dramatic light, but the rain was targeting the camera lens. It was hard to watch out for birds but there were hundreds of wigeon, a fieldfare, two whooper swans etc. More here.
