shlurp

I was about 25 minutes early for dinner in Edinburgh tonight (perfect planning, I reckon) and stopped in the Royal Mile (that's the pub's name) for an aperitif.

I wasn't drinking Fringe. It's Deuchars. But the glass is left over from the Fringe Festival in August/September.

I think the Royal Mile is the pub where UKIP's Nigel "Nutball" Farage tried to hold a press conference last year, and then needed police assistance to escape some demonstrating students.

Ironically, I think I was the only Scot (or Brit) in the place. Not a problem for me...

The beer was braw. So was dinner. So was the company - a former colleague.
