Power Cut

A very regular feature of living here are power cuts. They don't usually last long, between a few minutes to a couple of hours has been my experience so far. However, they can be particularly inconvenient. There are tea-lights dotted all round the house so that when they hit, I am never far from a box of matches and an ability to get on with something. This was last night's illumination when the power went off just as I was about to pack for a trip up country.
