Glasgow City Chambers

In the very heart of Glasgow stands one of the city's most important and prestigious buildings - the City Chambers.

The grand building overlooks George Square and is a symbol of Glasgow's political strength and historical wealth. It was completed in 1888 and has over 100 years been the headquarters of successive Glasgow City Councils.

The figure Truth, which sits about three-quarters of the way up the front of the building, is also known as Glasgow's Statue of Liberty and is one of the many replicas around the world, although much smaller in size.
