the yeot guy. this man is a neighbourhood institution. or maybe i just think he is. he can be found near the entrance to gyeongbok palace every weekend, clanging away with his oversize scissors, as he attracts buyers for his yeot, a traditional korean confectionary. i'm not sure if its the shades, the corduroy jacket, the polka dot scarf or the white gloves that make him the epitome of coolness. the pose that he offered so graciously when he saw me taking his pic definitely contributes. he has a sweet bike/cart/stand too.
