It is just too early!

Only snap taken today because the weather was just too wet and depressing to venture out with the camera and I seemed to have no time to think of anything else interesting in the house. Poor Flash is feeling very sorry for himself. He is a highly sensitive collie and if everything is not right with his world he becomes very depressed and sleeps a lot. At the moment he has a pulled muscle in his leg, so life is not perfect. Even today he keeps looking at my with his large brown eyes as if, somehow, it is my fault that I cannot take away his discomfort. However, he manages to rally for his walk so I guess things are not that bad.
We visited our friends for a wonderful meal who live in a gorgeous 16th century cottage on the banks of the River Mole in Leatherhead. As you can imagine their Christmas was ruined by the water pouring into their beautiful home. Even last night their garden was awash with water. However, we had a beautiful meal in their cosy kitchen. They collect antiques from the arts and crafts period so there is always so much to admire. Home very late.
