The Palais de Justice, Paisley

I recall that palais de justice was Rumpole's way of referring to the Old Bailey hence my choice to describe Paisley Sheriff Court. I have been called there to do jury service but have never been picked though on one occasion the person in front and the person behind me were both picked, phew!!!

The only other occasion was to observe pupils taking part in mock trials where all parts, except the judge, were played by pupils. Two observation- the pupil "lawyer" were extremely good, articulate, rigorous and persuasive. The other is that the visiting Senator of the High Court of Justiciary (High Court Judge in England) was ridiculously young looking in mufti.
