Allons-y! fiber arts

Woe is Me

This is a skein of 818 yards of Blue Faced Leicester and silk. I like it!! But - woe is me - I messed up in plying. There are two small pigtails in this. A pigtail happens in plying when you are looking up and watching Doctor Who instead of paying attention to the alinement of the two singles you are plying. One has a twirled bit that escapes into the finished ply and sticks out. The two pigtails in here are small - a half inch one and an inch one. The singles are very fine (this is a fingering weight yarn - very fine so imagine the thinness of the singles). So NFS and No More watching Doctor Who while plying (Whovians will get that little 50th anniversary episode reference).

It's now in the to be woven n the rigid heddle loom pile.

The yarn underneath, however, is pigtail-less ;-)
