alcatraz blip

what an interesting place alcatraz is! went over thinking we'd spend an hour or so and ended up staying all day! Park Rangers conduct tours, and always on hand with information, excellent audio tour, and some fantastic photo opportunities… we were lucky enough to be there when the hospital was opened (only for one hour a day) so had a look around… very dark and grim!

This photograph is the operating theatre in the hospital… looks like a set on a horror movie!
