Service with a snail

Dinner with George and Heather this evening. It was so good to catch up. We went to an old restaurant with a decades old reputation. We didn't know it changed hands last week. The food was amazing but the service fell short of its reputation. As soon as the management realised they comp'd the cheese, the coffee, the liqueur, the petit fours and a bottle of port. Then they knocked off the service and halved the bill. We have of course promised to return.

I believe the rules of blip means I can't tell you which restaurant but I guess the photo gives it away.

If you know which restaurant, I'd recommend the food, the wine and the good intentions.

The rest of the day was (at best) tedious with fun interludes.
