I Watch

This view basically describes what I had to impatiently watch for an hour today.

Group projects follow a linear path of two steps. Step 1, gain control of the group or join the majority. Step 2, create a satisfactory design among the group while remaining in a dominant standing.

The "silent step 3" is politely rejecting or ignoring the ideas of the minority before step 2. Thus, the rejected minority are expected to aimlessly watch the others deliberate over a failing design.

While the majority acknowledge their severe confusion, they still reject ideas that limit their control. The more ideas from a member of the group in the design; the more ownership he/she has of the design. Therefore, the minority are not allowed to have their ideas implemented in the design because it threatens the control of the majority.

Once the majority finally realize they are incapable of reaching a satisfactory design, they will then merge with the majority standing in the secondary group. The process will continue until a satisfactory design is established in the name of control, not a great overall design.

Not everyone can see pass the canopy into the sky. The sky suddenly becomes a fictitious story for children and propaganda for adults (just ask North Korea).
