A Patissiere's many talents

Ile de Pain's patisserie is a special place - a space in which three dedicated young people, Maria, Brady and Neville, work quietly and industriously together in soft light while the rest of the town sleeps. I photographed Maria glazing and decorating an assortment of exquisite delectables (esterhazies, operas, a chocolate mousse cake!), but I knew from the beginning it would be the photograph of her quietly washing up that I would choose. I mean, who can look this beautiful washing dishes?
