Dragon Fruit Flower

Dragon fruit flowers open at night and only last ONE night. In the morning the flower would have closed and ready to drop off the following day. The bud is about the size of an adult hand before it flowers.

Driving through the gate at 1215am after work, I cannot miss this opportunity for a blip. There were about 10 buds in flower. Using a LED spotlight (closer to daylight in Kelvin) as the light source and set the WhiteBalance to FLUORO. A speed light flash will give an Orangie colour cast.
Then a slight ++ adjustment with the vibrance which gives it a beautiful blue hue.

The feathery petals were a bonus, as it was quite windy and am struggling to capture a steady blip. So the ISO was set quite high (see EXIF) so to maintain a faster shutter speed.
