Home Alone

It breaks my heart a little every day to leave this little guy at home while we scoot off to work. This was never the plan. We only adopted him once we knew that we could have him with us at work every day; that everyone there was happy with him being around and, just as importantly, that he settled fine in a busy little studio. But settle he did, and the entire Latitude team completely fell in love with him, hence the adoption.

So it's driving me completely insane that the powers that be where we work (building security, not anyone in our office) have now decided to inform us of a "law", regarding pets not being allowed to be kept in a building which shares walls with other properties. Apparently its a no-no. This is not just specific to workplaces, they say it applies to homes also. What the...?! And it's not a law in black and white, it's not written anywhere, but it's a made up law nonetheless. Dontchya love this crazy town?! So clearly someone who doesn't like dogs has complained and they were obviously important enough to be listened to. Dubai drives me mad sometimes.
