Stirling: 'The father of documentary film making'

A memorial sculpture/portrait of John Grierson in Stirling train station. He was born near Stirling and the university holds the archive of his films. The railway station is harder to explain - perhaps a link to 'Night Mail' http://www.theguardian.com/books/2007/dec/01/featuresreviews.guardianreview10 - which Grierson narrated, which went on to become a classic?
