Jazirat Al Hamra

It's been a while since we last ventured outside of Dubai, so today we took ourselves off to Ras Al Khaimah. Our first exploration with Buddy alongside. We stopped off at a beach en-route because unlike Dubai, dogs are allowed on the beaches at RAK. Truth be told, the two beaches we sampled were not up to much although Buddy didn't seem to mind!

Our main destination today was an old fishing village further up the coast that was mysteriously abandoned back in the 60s. Nobody knows why. The homes are tiny, crumbling and supposedly haunted. All 300-odd of them. It's a sprawling village, which makes its abandonment even more intriguing.
