and the storm roars on

Heavy rain, raging winds, no let up at all.

This afternoon we went out at low tide to take a look at the coast but it was as much as I could do to stay on my feet, never mind taken any pictures!
This is of the normally very quiet and very sheltered little beach between Gokane Point and Toe Head, where there is normally not even a ripple.
I couldn't get near the beach itself as the wind was so strong but managed to stay upright in the shelter of a bush 200 meters away long enough to get this one shot.

Other than that its been a huddle round the fire kind of day..
