What a Day!!!

It's so hot, 30C as the sun streams down from above.

A garden party 'over the fence' started round noon. Quiet chatter, a few laughs and music drifting by - no worries.

5.45 pm the bbq was fired up and delicious smells were drifting 'over the fence'. The music was turned up a notch or two and the laughter proceeded to get louder. No worries, I took Daughter A to the airport, we were running extremely late but she got there.

9pm The sound system from 'over the fence' is amazing, wish they would play something other than just the beat of a bass. Loud singing as the garden party becomes just a party - it's getting differcult to listen to the TV

Mid-night - It's in full swing now - yelling, singing, probably dancing and quite a bit of drinking. They're young and having a great time - no worries, it doesn't happen every weekend.

3am - Still going I'm envious of their sound system as they try to wind things down a bit. Hubby is snoring beside me while I'm still wide awake.

4am - Finally something I know. Dire Straits Telegraph Road drifts over the fence in the night breeze, crisp and clear I lie in the darkness of our room listening to every single beat. The party has become quiet with just the odd call as people start to leave.

5am - Their is silence at last, well apart from hubby snoring. I smile and turn over its time to get some sleep.
