i think black peppercorns are actually a fruit however i always tend to think of them as a spice ....... maybe the corn is the fruit and then it is a spice once ground ....... lovely little treasures, black gold, actually they have been used as currency in years past and you may have heard the term "peppercorn rent' .... another in the flash is my friend series ....
