Hargreaves Lookout by Night

This morning at 3am I met up with a group of photographers from the Facebook group Landscape Photographers Network for some Milky Way shooting from Hargreaves Lookout on the Shipley Plateau in Blackheath, Blue Mountains.

As the night wore on and people had had their fill of the night sky, things evolved into some light painting while we waited on sunrise. We could tell that dawn/sunrise was going to be pretty spectacular because we could see the mist rolling into the valley. We stayed until about 7.30am. When I get around to doing some image editing I'll post a link to some sunrise images.

I was using a manual 17mm ultra-wide angle lens at f3.5 for 25 seconds at ISO3200
