Through the fridge

Mega hot day today, but we managed to play it quite well and keep relatively cool.

First Gina, Miles and I went for brunch at Code Black in Brunswick, which was humming at 9:30am. We were asked if we minded sitting on one of the smaller tables down the side (behind the fridges). That suited us just fine and the glass backs to the fridges made for some interesting views (this blip was 'antipodean' bottled water...).

Then we picked up Kristian and set off for the outdoor pool for a few hours. There weren't as many people there as we were expecting and we managed to get a good bit of shade under a tree and just played about, cooling off in the water. Kristian is worried that he's going to be sent back to the UK after his boss changing his mind about sponsoring him after his accident. We're hoping that he can pull through and demonstrate that he's fit for work before the end of March... we like having him around.

Then Gina set off to Stacey's baby shower, and I went to the pub for Johnny's associated 'baby bath' (I'm not sure he knew what to call it...). It was great to have a few beers in the pub on a Sunday afternoon, and it felt very decadent having not happened for quite a while now!

Now, after a yummy dinner courtesy of Faye and Lewis (coupled with a vain attempt to reattach the bush to the wall after the neighbour lopped it off the wall on his side... hmmm), we're all sitting around feeling very hot in the 34 degree heat.

Gina and I are considering cooling systems for our house.
