Bridge- Abstract

Abstract and “B”.

This is the bridge which takes the H8 (one of Milton Keyne’s grid roads) over the canal close to our house. Just beyond it is one of the original brick built arched bridges which is much prettier. In the right position this concrete bridge perfectly frames the arch but that’s another blip for another day.

My vision of something abstract for today involved straight lines and black and white. The sun made the perfect straight line shadow cutting across the lines of the blocks which make up the bridge’s structure, giving this abstract look. The shot is almost straight out of camera. A little sharpening, a tweak of contrast and a slight crop.
