Another day....

another ice rink!

This time the fancy rink on Red Square. I say fancy because they have benches for you to sit on and change into your skates inside (in the warm) and a place to leave your bags. And barriers around the rink for you to hold onto, if you should so desire. And lights and music. So all in all very fancy compare to the lake where we sit on the side to change, leave our bags in the edge and there is nothing at all to hold onto, unless you can catch one of the really good skaters!


And then there is the fact that you have St Basil's cathedral and the Kremlin as the backdrop!

{They have been charging a rather fierce amount for the rink on Red Square but they have recently made it free for the first two morning sessions at the weekend and most of the day during the week - Result!!}
