Golden treat

After a week of heavy rain, this sunny weekend has been some welcome respite. This morning I set off to reccie a walk with my neighbour G - a circular seven miles from our village. We were treated to perfect blue skies, sun and a very comfortable temperature. Along the way we enjoyed snowdrops, aconites, sightings of muntjac deer and just the sheer pleasure of being out in the countryside on such a perfect day, and in February, too. Signs of spring are beginning to show.
