Rare Site

Several years ago I told my husband I saw a Pileated Woodpecker on one of my blue bird houses but he wouldn't believe me. I even had to look it up in the bird book to see what it was. It took a couple years before we saw one again, he saw it this time too. We usually see it once or twice a year, usually in the winter at my suet feeders, but hadn't seen one for awhile until this one appeared this morning. One year we even had two appear at the same time. It's always hard to get a picture because they don't stay around very long so the pictures are what they are.
