The elite are off...

The Mitja Marató de Granollers was this morning and here you can see the elite starting off. It was won by Wilson Kipsan (01:01:18). Those whose time is under 1:30:00 start off first, 45 minutes before the rest.
It's a huge event in the Granollers calendar and there is a wonderful festive atmosphere. Thousands of people participate and most of them local, so it all adds to the fun when you see your local supermarket attendant, hairdresser or vet run past. There are different categories, from wheelchair to the "mini" (200 metres), for the under 5s.
