Harbinger of Spring

Seeing the pussy willows in full force in the garden, the very harbingers of spring, reminds me of a childhood rhyme that I learned so many years ago:

I know a little pussy, her coast is silver grey;
She lives down in the meadow, not very far away.
Although she is a pussy, she’ll never be a cat.
