The Lemming Line

Our last day at Revelstoke and a little ambivalence in the team to go skiing, myself included … But Adam and I decided to head up for 2 hours, and honestly, it was well worth it. Straight to the top and then 4 quick runs on The Stoke, including our fave, Critical Path, which had been fully groomed. With a few side trips, such as Tasty Glades, and a steep bump run, Separate Reality.

Going up was a good move, as skiing more of the off piste gave me a taste of the real Revelstoke. Its reputation is a big “bad” mountain, for advanced skiers only, but honestly, as a family group we’d been skiing good solid intermediates, and having a blast, with so much variety. So, to get off piste and see how big and bad it is, and we only touched on it, was pretty exciting. I know I’m going to be back here, possibly a lot! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much lift serviced advanced terrain, sitting right alongside a lot of intermediate runs. It’s pretty amazing.

Then down to meet Dan, the ski school director for coffee and a chat, then on the road around 1.30 for Panorama, our next stop. 3 hours later, and a 1 hour time zone, so different to Revelstoke. The village is way bigger, and more spread out, but luckily we’re close to the lifts.

Out for dinner, and then home early again, big day tomorrow.

And the Lemming Line? Walk in access to the North Bowl, said to be some of the most legendary skiing at Revelstoke on a powder day. Next time!
