Fire!

A huge fire began suddenly in the southern suburbs of Perth today and is still raging tonight. Strong gusty winds fed the flames and as the urgent warnings went out many people in the immediate vicinity were told it was too late to get out and they should prepare to defend their homes, how incredibly frightening!!

Many firefighters, volunteers and the water bomber helicopters are still fighting tonight as the fire rages out of control.

Its hard to get clear news at the moment as its all still happening but I dont think anyone has lost their life, I really hope not anyway. Everything is so tinder dry here as we've had no rain for months!

This is just a picture of my computer screen, but it will give you an idea of the size of the blaze this afternoon. From what I can gather it has spread quite a bit more since then! Our thoughts are with all of the people who are affected, stay safe!!
