Cimetiere de Montmartre

Another glorious day in Paris. I took an early morning stroll around a quiet Montmartre, including Place des Abbesses to see Le Mur des Je t'aime (the Wall of Love - 612 squares of enamelled lava, on which 'I love you' features 311 times in 250 languages).

After a lovely breakfast of freshly baked croissants E and I took at stroll to see Moulin de la Galette and Cimetiere de Montmartre.

We had lunch at Gontran Cherrier (an amazing boulangerie near our apartment). After a further walk around Basilique du Sacré Cœur (this time to enjoy the views by daylight) we investigated some of the local bars - L'Etoile de Montmartre, La Cave Café, and La Popote du 18 (all fun and cheap beer – yay!).

Back to the flat for baked camembert and baguette for dinner – this is the life …
