The rain came down and the floods came up

This afternoon C and I went out for a walk / bike ride to post a letter and see if we could do some train spotting (always a popular pursuit). We crossed over the canal bridge and thought we would walk along the towpath to find some puddles for C and his wellies.

This was the scene that greeted us - little C piped up 'we can't get through Mummy' well spotted that. It was well and truly flooded and had made such an enormous puddle that the towpath and the canal had merged into one.

I love how the clouds are reflected in the puddles in this photo and the watery sun is just peeping out from behind the clouds. Pretty.
