Nose to Nose

Tiny, so exquisitely tiny! So very sweet and cuddly. Bouncy; a master of agility, with beautiful orangey/brown fur and fabulous big black eyes to die for...looking at me! What a cute factor! I was in seventh heaven taking this shot. He totally stole my heart as we came nose to nose this afternoon.

The harvest mouse is Britain's smallest rodent and the only one with a prehensile tail nearly as long as it's body which it uses for climbing amongst plant stems. It eats seeds, wheat, oats, fruit and bulbs but is also partial to the odd insect along with moss and fungi. It doesn't hibernate, living it's life in hedgerows and reedbeds liking tall dense vegetation.
