Waar an Tang

The day has been windy again but fairly dry throughout the day. Very heavy rain has set in now but hopefully pass soon.

Lots to do and lots to sort out again today. A big family meal tonight again and my sister Julie is making it down from Unst with her husband for it too :) I think we may be having roast mutton again :) Hopefully be enough mutton for us all, I know there will be 14 of us, if not more :)

I went for a walk to Mail beach in Cunningsburgh today. The litter washed up is an awful sight but it'll soon be our annual beach clean up. The shoreline is also littered in Waar and Tang. Tang is all the coarse seaweed that grows above the low-water mark and Waar grows below the low-water mark. As bairns, we were sent to the beaches to gather up Waar and Tang to help fertilise the crops. The Mail kirk and Manse in the backgorund.
